 ● Swimming lessons at Wavering
Fundamentals and skills of swimming for all levels will be taught Mondays through Fridays from July 19-30 at the Wavering Aquatic Center for children ages 4-15. The cost is $32. Sessions are held from 10 to 10:40 a.m. and from 10:50 to 11:30 a.m. To sign up, call the Quincy Park District at 223-7703.

● Swimming lessons at Indian Mounds
Fundamentals and skills of swimming for all levels will be taught Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from July 12-Aug. 3 at Indian Mounds Pool for children ages 4-15. The cost is $32. Sessions are held from 6:45 to 7:25 p.m. and from 7:35 to 8:15 a.m. To sign up, call the Quincy Park District at 223-7703.

 ● The Batting Cage is open
Practice your batting stroke, get in 18 holes of miniature golf or disc golf, take a paddleboat out on Moorman Lake or go for a ride on a tandem bike. For hours and prices, call The Batting Cage at 228-1261.

● Play a round of golf at Westview
$23 on weekends and $18 on weekdays for 18 holes on one of the finest public golf courses in the Midwest. Golf cart fees are $7.50 per person per nine holes. Season passes are $650 ($560 if you play weekdays only), with discounts given to seniors and youth players. Call (217) 223-7499 to reserve your tee time.

● A gift of nature
Honor a loved one or celebrate a special event with a new tree. Donors receive a certificate and  picture of the tree. An engraved panel is displayed at Emerson Community Center. Trees are purchased and planted by Park District staff in a Quincy park or at Westview Golf Course. Cost is $125.
