TRUTH OR MYTH???

15 minute oil changes are full service oil changes???

Myth: A full service oil change should include complete drain of old oil, filter replacement, all fluids checked AND filled, and a full inspection of your vehicle. Make sure that not only your fluids have been checked, but that they have been topped off as well. When doing a quick oil change it is more difficult to drain ALL the old oil from your vehicle. Make sure your full service oil change includes a brake inspection and tire pressure check. It is more difficult to do a complete check of all your vehicle's components on a rack versus a lift. While 15 minute oil changes are cost effective, they may not catch a potential problem. A true full service oil change may save you money in the long run.

                    Tips

Avoid driving at high speeds and accelerating quickly, especially when it's very hot or very cold outside. Such driving behavior will result in more frequent repairs.

Extend the life of your tires by observing posted speed limits. Avoid fast starts, stops and turns. Avoid potholes and objects on the road. Don't run over curbs and of course don't burn rubber.

When turning, don't hold your steering wheel in an extreme right or left position for more than a few seconds. Doing so can damage your power steering pump.
